Flashback Friday: Skinny Cargos

[Click the photo to make it larger] Check it out ladies... 17 ways to wear skinny cargo pants!! To be fair, these are actually two different pants. One is light khaki (top row) and the other is dark green (bottom row), but no matter what shade your cargos may be, any of these color combinations should work!

Styling tips: Shoes in all shapes and sizes work with these pants. Flat boots, lace-up boots, round pumps, pointy pumps, tie-up wedges. In colors like soft gray, cognac, black, dark brown, nude, and mustard yellow.  Clearly the options are endless. :-)

Which one (or two or three) are your favorite?

  4. You make those cargo pants look goooood! :-)

I'm not sure how I feel about skinny cargos since I read somewhere that pear shaped people (of which I am one) should avoid excess fabric on the thighs. Therefore the pockets on the cargos might not be all that flattering. But maybe I should try some on just in case.

  5. I like #1 on the top and the last one on the bottom.

Here's the thing... I've tried to find skinny cargos that are FLATTERING on me but it's been tough. I'm a 6-8 and curvy (I'm a runner) and I feel like the pocket placement on the hips just doesn't do my figure justice. Thoughts?

  9. Briana, I think it depends on the actual pair. My green ones only have one pocket and it's sewed down really tight so it wouldn't give you any volume at all. You could also just do a slim khaki pant without cargo pockets. So many stores are selling these pants right now, if you like this look you should be able to find one that works for you! :-)

  14. Hi,
I am a curvy 4-6 and I found a pair similar to the light khaki at Old Navy. They have a zipper closure at the bottom and other than me needing to wear a belt they fit great. Check them out.

  18. I have a similar build and find the ones from Target to be the best fit for the price. I own the Old Navy ones as well but the rise is a little low.

  21. J, I am so happy that I can find the comments button at home. I sometimes have a hard time at work. I am not Catholic; however, I am not accessing my facebook account for Lent. I am doing fine so far, but I do love the ability for your fans to share. I love seeing some of the fashion ideas, comments, and suggestions. Oh well, I'll have a lot to catch up on in a few weeks. I really love your cargos. When I first saw them, I had to run out and get them. I loved the green so much that I just had to have a pair. I found a pair at The Limited on sale for $14.99. They also have a navy blue and grey pair. I haven't seen you in those colors; so, I didn't get them. The Limited will be have friends weekend from March 25-March 27. Customers will be able to save an extra 40% off of regular and clearnce priced items. I am so happy.

My favorite looks are top row: #s 1,3,5,6,8... bottom row #s 2,4,5,7. Really love the ALDO Shoes. Excited to see you rocking them.
