Today's Everyday Fashion: I Heart the Gap

Today's look is head-to-toe Gap, inspired by Gap! It's no secret that I love that store - almost all of my jeans are from there and I wear this green army jacket a LOT. Why do I love the Gap so much? Well,  I always say that a girl finds that one brand that really works for them and then sticks to it. For me, the fit of Gap jeans are right-on, and the fact that I can usually get them on sale for $15-30 is even better! Tell me - what brands of jeans fit you best? Do you have a go-to store for jeans?

Jeans: Gap, $35
Boots: Cynthia Rowley/TJ Maxx, $85

ps. Would love your help with a little something. Could you please vote for me in Refinery 29's Hunt for the next Style Blogger? It's really easy - just go here and click the little pink heart on my picture! You can only vote once. Thank you!!!

  1. I have been looking for a jacket like that one! Did you get it recently? Or do you know where you can find similar ones?

  2. Thank you Marion! I got the jacket awhile ago, they probably won't have it anymore. I love this one from Forever 21 though and the price is right!

  3. I got here through Janetha's blog! Really liked the guest post!

Also, I loooove Gap jeans--in fact, they are pretty much the only jeans that ever fit me correctly. I buy them every time they are on sale--but recently lost some weight and had to pay the $60 for new ones. Still worth it though!

  6. GAP used to be my favorite store for jeans, but over the last few years Express jeans have been fitting much better. Your jeans always look great on you - but I think it's prob due to you killer legs! ;)

  7. Speaking of the Gap, about a month or so ago, they had a huge sale (50% off clothes that were already 50%) and I bought a formal black blazer (originally $118) for $11!!!!!!!!! Crazy right??? I also got 3 blouses for $5 each :)

  9. I have to agree with you...Gap jeans are always a great option! I like that they aren't horribly expensive too. That is always a plus!

  10. I love the Gap, but lately they've been slightly too short for me (I'm 5'9" so it's understandable). But my go to store for jeans is Banana Republic. I know I can walk in there and pick up a size 4 or 27 and it will fit perfectly. They are great quality and last forever too. Once I found a pair there and loved them so much I went back a few months later and got another pair exactly the same. The price is a little more, but it's worth it for the fit, quality and the way they make my butt look! :)

  11. I just love a great pair of designer jeans but they are in no way close to my budget, so I go to a resale shop, in TX, we have this little jem called Plato's closet that buys your clothes and re-sells them. I get all my jeans there, I can find a great pair of Seven jeans for $25. Target has great jeans though too! I recently got a great pair of black skinnies!!!

  16. I get a strange thrill out of wearing head-to-toe from one store. Silly. Anyway, I do own some Gap jeans but my favorites are actually from The Limited. Well, technically my favorites were Chip & Pepper but they fell apart and they don't make them anymore.

  17. my go to place for jeans are express, now i am starting to realize that the limited may be neck and neck with them.

  19. I love my Levi's and Tommy Hilfiger jeans. I took me trying on what seemed like hundreds of jeans to find both brands at Macy's.

  20. Hi J!

This is my first time commenting here, but I've been a fan of your blog for the past 2-3 months :) I love your sense of style - you've inspired me in more ways than one! Anyway, I usually buy my jeans at a Calvin Klein outlet store. I'm 5'4" and usually have a hard time figuring out my size with different brands. CK sizing works for me, so I stick to it! Plus it being an outlet store, the prices aren't bad either.

I just voted for you on Refinery29. I hope you win. I've seen your success in the past few months and know one thing for sure - you're gonna go places girl! Good luck!

  22. Andrea, I recently had someone ask this on Facebook, here's my advice! :-)

I am all for a woman coming up with her very own, customized list of 10 items she can't live without. (I always say throw away those lists you see in magazines!! Not everyone needs a black pencil skirt and a trench coat!) I would be more than happy to share my list as an example though! :-) 10 things I can't live without:
    - white jeans
    - skinny cargos
    - cognac belts and shoes
    - v-neck pocket t-shirts
    - turquoise jewelry
    - statement necklaces in gold/silver
    - ruffled blouses
    - cardigans in unique colors
    - navy blazer
    - green army jacket
