Today's Everyday Fashion

Sometimes an outfit starts with a shoe, and that is definitely the case for today's look. I've been wanting to wear these cobalt beauties again since I got them last summer. I mixed a mustard cardigan, purple belt and aqua necklace. A bit of a rainbow - but what can I say? I love color! Click here to see the outfit I wore these shoes with last time and tell me - what would you wear them with?

Occasion: Work
Cardigan: H&M, $18
Shirt: Banana Republic, $35
Necklace: Kansas boutique
Purple belt: Gap, $1
Jeans: Gap, $44
Shoes: Urban Originals, $21

  1. Ooo! I just wore a cardi that color the other day... I love how you paired it with a turquoise necklace... I may have to try that next time!

  2. I really like this look. Those shoes are fabulous but I know how working blue shoes into an outfit can be tricky. The shoes definitely pop but I think it works very well. I prefer this look over the other one you did with these shoes and the dress.

The color and way you mix casual elements with formal shoes reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw too.

Also-You are quite the deal shoe shopper! I don't think I have ever seen you spend more than $60 on a pair and these in particular were quite the steal!

  4. I love this outfit and those shoes! I have always loved the idea of pairing bright colored shoes with an outfit that doesn't "match". I would wear those shoes with a red dress!

  6. I just found your blog and love it! I'm so out of the fashion loop right now, after being pregnant I walk into stores and am just so confused so it's great to have some inspiration! I don't own a single pair of "colored" shoes b/c I would have no idea how to wear them! All my shoes are neutrals. Thanks for the ideas!

  7. If the shoes were a darker shade of blue, this outfit would be even more perfecto!

  11. Thanks everyone! The shoes are very formal, but when I purchased them it was my intent to wear them in a "Jcrew" or "Carrie Bradshaw" type-way, with casual clothes. Took me a few months but I think this look pulls it off! :-)
