I loved Ferragamo's look on the runway (picture left), but does it translate to everyday wear? My fuzzy boots aren't helping, but tell me, would you rock boots, shorts... and bare legs?
Trench: New York & Company, $50
Camel sweater: H&M
Black cardigan: Express
Belt: Forever 21, $8
Shorts: Gap, $25
Boots: TJ Maxx, $10
If I had your legs? YES. You look so good in that!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't wear a turtleneck maybe a casual tee, with boots similar to the model's. With a few alterations to fit my body type, I'd wear it!

Yes, I think it is ultra cute to do boots and shorts, and this is a way to make it more chic. But I don't like the fuzzy boots or the turtleneck very much in this case :( I like how the boots in the example are more streamlined, and maybe a knit-style tank for texture would be nice on top? LOVE the shorts, though, and the concept is super cute, especially in Florida! It's too cold in Idaho :(
ReplyDeleteProbably not, it is a little too close to jean cutoffs and Uggs for me. You look great in it though!
ReplyDeletelove Ferragamo's look!!! love shorts, boots and bear legs. would wear shorts of the same color as the turtleneck, probably beiger trench (this one has grey undertones)and streamlined boots.
ReplyDeleteWhile you look fabulous in anything, I don't. So it's not a look for me... I love that color yellow, though!
ReplyDeleteYep, I like it!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a cute look! however there's something about your top/bottom color combo that's not working for me... maybe if your jacket was a warmer shade of tan it would make the outfit mesh together better...? idk! dont mind me! love your blog! :)
ReplyDeleteHi J! I just recently started following your blog and I totally rock the shorts with boots thing! I live in Okinawa, Japan and that's been the style here since I was in high school! I love that look on you and basically all the outfits that you have created!
ReplyDeleteI would wear everything you're wearing, but not necessarily together. I have issues with shorts and FURRY boots, only because I'm from a very very cold city and its too much of a paradox for me, lol. If they weren't furry I think I'd like them better...but that's just me. I'd swap the shorts for jeans, but again, its super cold where I am haha.
ReplyDeleteYou can totally rock it if you love it though! You look awesome in it!
I just discovered your site...and I'm in love. You have AMAZING style/taste!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love shorts with boots! I have worn flat midcalf boots with shorts almost all month long(I live in Arizona and it's still very hot here) I usually pair it with a tank and light weight cardigan :) Love this look and your posts!
ReplyDeleteBoots and shorts aren't for me...I go to a college where that is considered "slutty". And if I'm cold enough to need boots, I figure that I'd be cold enought to need pants...Sorry. I think the picture is cute though- you did a great job replicating it. And the above poster is right- you do look great in it!
ReplyDeleteI agree that if the boots were more "dressy" like the models, the outfit would look great!
ReplyDeleteGreat on you, but I don't think I could pull this one off.

I would not wear that outfit or the boots with shorts.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear shorts, so this look wouldn't be for me. However, I LOVE your boots and would wear them with a skirt or a sweater dress.
ReplyDeleteyou're so dang cute!
