I wore the first look for my drive to Tampa on Monday, and the second outfit is the cooler weather version I would rock if I lived up north. I'm also sporting not one but two pieces of customizable clothing! My feather print top is from eShakti, an online store that custom-makes clothes based on your height and other measurements, and is a great resource for petites and talls. I went for the standard size 0 in this top and plugged in my height to order it. (I'm happy with it, although I removed the black beads from the front.) I'm also wearing a new charm that is near and dear to my heart. I've had a Stella & Dot chain and "J" initial for awhile, but I recently added a custom "Sierra Leone" charm + crystal charm from Jenny Present, see close-up below. Have you ever ordered custom clothing? What custom resources do you recommend?

That is so cool that you can order clothes based on your size! I'm only 5 ft tall so that would be great for me! Thanks for the info!

Cute! Those jeans are a great color for Fall!
ReplyDeleteThis is just one of the reasons why I love your blog ~ I would have never thought ever of putting these items together if they were in my closet. I am always learning, thank you :) I have never ordered custom clothing but have heard of this company.
ReplyDeleteI love the jeans! The burgundy is such a great color for fall and the way you put it together with the blue cardigan is really cute. I like the additional charm for your necklace.
ReplyDeleteHi J, what color are your jeans? I ordered the crimson and it's nothing like yours. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love your Sierra Leone pendant.
ReplyDeleteI have never ordered custom clothing but I have bought material and have something custom made before. I also from time to time alter store bought clothing to change the style of it. Not something I really recommend - I only do this when what I bought has the potential to be altered and it is extremely discounted in price to account for the cost of alterations.

Kelly
Gizelle, I believe they are the burgundy color but I bought them in the store not online so it's hard to know for sure!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree - alterations can be pricey and often not worth it! (That is one good thing about eShakti, the customizations are built into the price.)
ReplyDeletebeautiful top!

I think that top is pretty. It looks good with those pants! I also think it would look good with your mustard cardigan.
ReplyDeleteI've had good results with Lirola, an Esty seller who specializes in women's clothing. I've bought two dresses and a wrap from Lirola and I'm very pleased. I just sent in my measurements. I'm petite/curvy with a short waist so it really made a difference to me.
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly are your measurements? Your sizes are very close to mine but my body and yours differ, and how tall??
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the color of those pants! In fact, you single handedly inspired me to get mustard yellow jeans (from Kohls) and now I'm thinking I may have ended my colored jeans search too early! The outfit works perfectly!

I love that you thought of us up North lol I'm in Chicago and the cold is definitely arrived! I love both looks!
ReplyDeleteIt's clear that your trip to Sierra Leone was important to you but we've heard little about it!! Did you buy any keepsakes there?
ReplyDeleteKimberly, it was such an intense experience and I want to do a good job, so it's taking me awhile to write my recap. :-) We never had a chance to go the market in Freetown but I have some beaded bracelets and a necklace that I got in a small village that mean the world to me!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, I will check that out!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE my Jenny Present custom proud mama necklace!! My husband works with a friend of hers and she is sweet as can be and her jewelry is awesome.

Leone" charm?? So very, v.e.r.y. meaningful to you............ (and memory-laden, too)............ I'm sure, J.!!
I am really loving that you are posting colder weather options lately. I live in New Zealand and we have opposite seasons from North America so this really helps me.
ReplyDeleteI happened across your post today and am so glad thatt I did. My mouth dropped when I saw your Sierra Leone cham. I love that country and I find that not too many people have even heard of Sierra Leone. I travel there once a year with The Raining Season.
ReplyDeletewhat an awesome site! the outfits are so cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the feathers. I need to get back into cardis. I've been distracted by blazers!

Do you ever have issues with your skinny jeans rotating near the ankle? My side seams on mine end up a few inches off all the time. I don't know if it's just me or if this happens to others. Your seams always look right in the pictures but I make sure to fix mine before pictures so I was wondering if you do that too.
ReplyDeleteColleen, no I've never had that issue! Trying to think what might be causing that?! There's always a little adjustment with skinny jeans when you put them on, but other than that they seem to stay put!
ReplyDeletewow you have not had the issue at all? I have 3 pairs of skinny jeans 2 different styles and I have to rotate the seam below the knee constantly. Almost any time I walk, it rotates. I have 1-2 skirts that will rotate if I wear them while wearing a purse or backpack and this reminds me of that but I cannot figure out why they rotate so I can't figure out what to do to fix it. But having a seam go down the front part of my ankle is not attractive so I want to figure out how to fix this.
