Today's Everyday Fashion: July 4th



July 4th is my favorite holiday. I love everything about it - fireworks, summertime, BBQs, and it's also the unofficial kick-off to my birthday month. ;-) I am spending the day at the pool with the girls, and later today I'm headed to a BBQ in this outfit. It will be h-o-t, which means red, white and blue clothes I can sweat in, and minimal jewelry.     Love this outfit J- its simple and cute, and patriotic without being a cheesy flag shirt. I wore a simple red striped top, blue jeans and an anchor belt for today to celebrate my adopted country's birthday (http://franishh.blogspot.com/2012/07/merica.html). Looking through your older pictures in the last post, I just have to say that I really like this hair color on you - it looks natural but sun-kissed :)

    This top looks so adorable on you.  I tried it on in the store yesterday but I didn't love it.  I did love the pink and orange ikat shorts those and wore those today...and I scored them for $12 so even better.  I kind of hate shorts but the Gap ones seem to be a good length and don't have pockets which I always think makes them more flattering when you have wider hips like me.

    Thank you! And I agree - I stopped putting highlights in my hair about 8 months ago and I'm loving how it looks as my natural color. Don't know why I didn't go that route sooner! :-)
