Today's Everyday Fashion: Pippa Crazed
Pippa Middleton: you can't look anywhere without seeing a picture of this girl walking down the street! I will admit that I was absolutely entranced by the royal wedding and I think Kate and William are adorable. Pippa's style though? People seem to love it but it's a little safe for my taste. I do really like this look though (I would have just added some jewelry and a belt!) and it gave me the idea to pair my navy dress with a navy and white cardigan, which I'm loving! What do you think of Pippa's style - love it or leave it?

I don't see what all the fuss over Pippa is about. Her style is so boring and she's not even really a "celebrity" (except that we've made her into one). I have no problem with that being her personal style; I just don't understand all the hype and "get Pippa's style!" stuff going around. You look fab though, great combo!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really nice combo. It looks kind of nautical, especially if you would have paired it with red heels and some gold jewelry.
ReplyDeleteI do like some of Pippa's looks, but not all of them. She did pair a cute floral dress with a leather jacket that was cute.
My feelings exactly. She's a nice-looking girl, and there's certainly nothing wrong with simple, classic style, but why all the fuss?
ReplyDeleteI looove your take on it. Hers, not so much.
ReplyDeleteI like your dress much better then hers!
ReplyDeleteI love Pippa's preppy style, she always looks put together...but I actually love your look more than hers here!

I think the hoopla about Pippa's style is more about Pippa and her backside and legs and tan than her clothes! However, I do like her style. She always looks "done" and put together and ladylike. Her style is very feminine and I absolutely appreciate that. Plus she loves wedges, and I love wedges :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very viable theory to me! I do appreciate that she looks great and put together every time the paparazzi catch her. I would be a hot mess half the time. :-)
ReplyDeleteWorth the hoopla? Yes. That is all.
ReplyDeleteI'm utterly underwhelmed by Pippa's wardrobe. Yes she's very prim and pulled together, but its not inspired. I'd like to see her is something more youthful, yet still classy and appropriate for a princess. Enough of the school marm!
ReplyDeleteI like her looks, but they are a little conservative. Your look is spot on to Pippa's look.
ReplyDeletei loooove your navy dress! have you seen a similiar dress anywhere? i would love to find one!
ReplyDeleteYou look great in navy! Pippa would probably pair this with those cute nude heels you have in your closet but I like your take on it too :-) I guess you don't have to worry about the Queen judging you!
ReplyDeleteI love the outfit! One thing I've wondered--are you allowed to wear short skirts/dresses at your workplace? You obviously have great legs, but I know I could never get away with a dress like this in the classroom (teaching.) Your office must not be very conservative! :)
ReplyDeleteYea ... this is my favorite outfit EVER and I love your take on it.. No other words can describe it!
ReplyDeletei like your take on her style! it's a little bolder, and much more fun! i like kate's style better than pippa's.
ReplyDeleteApril, this is definitely not an office look, eek! Way too short. I work from home, so most of the looks I post are just for the purpose of the blog. I'm concerned other women are going to think this is okay for the office though - what gave you the impression that this was an office look?
ReplyDeleteYay, so glad you like it Liz! :-)
ReplyDeleteI just did a quick search and it looks like Bluefly has a lot of navy dresses right now! Let me know what you find!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you! I was totally Royal wedding obsessed but am not so into Pippa. I think she dresses nicely but I wouldn't say she's a style icon. But I do love this look. The white detailing on the sweater really makes it pop!
ReplyDeletehad to chuckle to myself when i saw you posted about pippa
ReplyDeletea couple of weeks ago i mentioned pippa to my college soph. son and his friend
they didn't know who i was talking about

Pippa's style is sophisticated and classy, but i bit too drab for a lot of women. But, if she dressed differently, she would be criticized often. Your take on it is much nicer though. ;) I'm just not a fan of Pippa and don't really care about Royalty of other countries. I like the way you added the necklace and your cardigan is super cute! Have a great day J!

ReplyDelete..her style is very safe, you know what I mean. I dont see her taking chances or being bold.

ReplyDeleteGreat Pippa outfit! Nice Job!
ReplyDeleteLove your look, J!
ReplyDeleteI love Pipa's Style though sometimes seems too safe or too classic. I especially love, loooooovvvvve Kate's style way better however. I love your interpretation of this look, you added your sexy spin to it. I have several cardigans to recreate this with.
