I'm so excited to share my new favorite store with you guys! It's called eShakti and if you are petite, tall or plus-size then this may just be your new favorite store too. They offer sizes 2-26, and the clothes are made on-demand so when you order you provide details like your height to ensure they will fit correctly. You can also specify the length you want for dresses and skirts such as: above the knee, at the knee, below the knee. When I ordered this skirt (I loved the color!) it came in an "at the knee" length but I requested it "above the knee" with a height of 5'7". It showed up at my house in just a few days! They have some really cute stuff (examples below), but my favorite part is how great of a solution it is for women who have a difficult time finding the right sizes. They have a huge selection and you may never need to go to the tailor again. What are your favorite places for finding unique sizes?

ReplyDeleteI may have to check this place out! I have seen several bloggers advertise for them. That skirt is just gorgeous! What a pretty color of green. The way you paired it with the blue and neutrals really gives it a sophisticated preppy vibe.

I definitely will be checking them out! I always have trouble with lengths! Great find!
ReplyDeleteI find that a lot more places have "shorts" and "longs" in pants than I used to see. I also ADORE this color combination! Thanks for sharing. I'm going to have to try it sometime!

Love the color of that skirt! I didn't have the best of luck with them when I reviewed them last year
ReplyDeletelove those colors together!

ReplyDeleteWords cannot describe how much I love Eshakti! Their prices are so good (especially for customizing!!) and their selection is amazing. And I love your outfit- that color of green is gorgeous on you :)
ReplyDeleteI need clothes that are cut on the slimmer side of things so I prefer to get my items through London or Italian designers. I'll check out this site for sure!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit--I'm heading over to the store right now!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great website! I hope they have pants - because with having long legs it is hard to find pants that are long enough!
ReplyDeletei love that store - just checked them out. I like your inspired outfit :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!

The dress I picked out apparently was out of stock, and no one contacted me for weeks. When my dress finally arrived, it fit perfectly on the top, but the bottom skirt part was huge... you can read my review here if your interested. http://www.mixmatchfashion.com/2010/12/eshakticom-review.html
ReplyDeleteWow I love their sizing concept! Never heard of them before but now I'll definitely be checking them out! :)
ReplyDeleteHave you ordered many clothes from them yet? Did they all fit right? This skirt was perfect but it is the only thing I ordered so I'm curious to hear other people's experiences too! :-)
ReplyDeleteWow that dress was big on you on the bottom! :-( I noticed that for the most part they do skirts with volume (50's style!) so maybe they just got a little carried away with that design. I also ordered a standard size, and it definitely has a lot of volume in the skirt but nothing like what you experienced. Hope you were able to fix it, it's a really cute dress otherwise.
ReplyDeleteYou had me at petites! Going to check out their stuff now!

I see you wear a lot of cute belts that add nice detail to your outfits. I love belts too, but do you have a trick to keep them in place when your skirt doesn't have belt loops? I have trouble with my belts shifting all over the place! :)
ReplyDeleteMelissa, it definitely depends on the belt and the skirt, but for the most part you should be able to create enough leverage (as I like to call it) to get the belt to stay in place. Here's a video I put together to show how I loop my belt, and with this method you also won't need to punch any new holes in your belt! http://www.jseverydayfashion.com/2010/11/video-how-to-belt-cardigan_12.html
ReplyDeleteI have one dress from them and it's awesome. The fit is great and they hemmed it for my height so it's just above my knee. Plus their customer service is very responsive and helpful. I can't wait to order more from them!
ReplyDeleteSounds awesome! I'll have to check it out. I'm always altering clothes to fit me. I'm 5'4", so a little taller for petite pants, and too short for regular length. This might be my new favorite store.

I can't get over how amazing this site is!!! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeletelove this! I'm going to give it a try. I have a hard time finding things the right length.
ReplyDeleteThe clothes on Eshakti's website are beautiful and I was thrilled to hear that you could give your measurements, but reading reviews on them has made me nervous. Some people are complaining that the measurements they gave to Eshakti are completely ignored and they had trouble getting refunded for returns. This website has mixed reviews, but the ones near the bottom of the page scared me: http://www.prettypear.com/2009/05/have-you-ordered-from-eshakti.html Are there any other customizable clothing websites? :/
ReplyDeleteAnna, I think it would be pretty hard to find any company with 100% positive reviews, but it definitely stinks that some people had a bad experience. Did you check the date on the reviews? It's possible they have improved their service recently (my experience was great). I just love the option of giving your measurements - I've never heard of another company that does such a thing but if I find one I will definitely let you guys know!
ReplyDeleteawesome blog, do you have twitter or facebook? i will bookmark this page thanks.
