Today's Everyday Fashion: The Scarf Belt
I absolutely love this inspiration outfit! Pretty much anything nautical speaks to me, and I'm digging the idea of wearing a silk scarf through your belt loops. I wish I would have left the ends of the scarf loose instead of knotting them, and I also tucked my t-shirt in too tightly, but those are easy enough fixes. :-) Have you ever worn a scarf through your belt loops? Are you a fan of this trend?

Love this look! Perfect for the weekend
ReplyDeleteDid my good deed for the day but I can't tell if it worked. Love your blog- you are very talented and keep me inspired to put my own outfits together everyday, which isn't easy with two small children. I love your use of color and jewelry. Good luck and keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteThis is one trend I absolutely love!!!
ReplyDeleteVoted for you! I looked at some of the people with the top votes and their entries are all over the place. Yours is nice and clean and shows you could really do the job. Good luck! Wish I could win the $10k! lol
ReplyDeleteLove this look! I use scarves as belts all the time. I do the belt loops but also tie it in a bow in the front and also make it like an obi style. Scarves are quite versatile!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, going to vote for you now! Good luck :)

I voted!! Good luck! I've only been following your blog for a couple of weeks, but am so inspired already! Since then I've been complimented by the Administrator of my division at work for being the best dressed (never thought I'd hear that!)--thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteUsed to rock that look ...didn't know it was coming back.
ReplyDeleteKristin, that is so exciting! Thank you for voting for me and congrats on being named best dressed. ;-)

LOVE this outfit. LOVE LOVE LOVE
ReplyDeleteYour legs *sigh*
ReplyDeleteVoted for you!! =) Good luck, also I love this look!
ReplyDeleteI used to ONLY wear scarf belts back in the day. That had to have been 10 years ago, so now I have a ton of thin different colored scarfs in my closet. I bust them out every now and then. I actually don't care for the inspiration photo at all...but I LOVE what you put together.
ReplyDeleteI actually prefer the scarf tied! It would look even better if you tied it a bit to the side.

Pretty! I love the whole outfit and the scarf belt is really cute.
ReplyDeleteI voted, after looking at the competition I can't believe you aren't winning. Where are your facebook followers and why aren't they voting?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I wear scarves as belts, it's a nice, soft, pretty look that really works sometimes.
Elena, it turns out that there are 5 rounds to this competition and it's rounds 3 and 4 that I can't advance without votes. No idea how they are picking people for this round? Or they might be putting everyone through? The rules aren't very clear. I'm going to just keep going (and ask for votes when needed) because I could really use 10k! That's more money than I've made all year!! ;-) Thank you so much for voting!
ReplyDeleteI voted for you J! I hope you win, you certainly deserve it!
ReplyDeleteLove love that outfit - everything about that I would wear and I would definitely do a silk scarf as a belt :)
