Today's Everyday Fashion: Early Start
I'm excited about all of the trends I posted about in my fall 2011 shopping guide, but cobalt blue is one of my favorites! I recently added this Limited pencil skirt to my wardrobe and can already tell it will be a major staple this fall and will be part of many looks. That said, why wait until temperatures drop to enjoy your new fall pieces? I decided to get an early start and pair the skirt with peach and orange for a summery work look that I can wear now. Tell me - what fall pieces are you wearing now and how are you wearing them?

Gorgeous skirt - cobalt blue is such a striking, vibrant color!, and it looks lovely when paired with your ruffled feminine shirt. I really love wearing brightly colored skinnies and elaborate prints and patterns =D Polka dots are one of my favorite, but I have yet to find the perfect piece!=D

Love this skirt! Cobalt is one of my favorite colors so I am glad to see it on trend for fall! I have a cobalt pleated midi skirt that I have been wearing this summer, and am really looking forward to wearing it with boots this fall!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking everywhere for a cobalt pencil skirt--it's nearly impossible to find one! Everyone is already sold out!
ReplyDeleteCheck out this past post for 4 cobalt blue skirt options - they might still have some in stock! http://www.jseverydayfashion.com/2011/08/todays-everyday-fashion-procrastinator.html
ReplyDeleteI love the cobalt on you. I have a cobalt skirt, and have been wanting to wear it for a while now...if only the Texas temp cools down.
ReplyDeleteAmazong shoes :) Beautiful look xx
ReplyDeleteOhh I love how you got started wearing your gorgeous skirt early! (I really have to find myself a colbalt skirt like that!) One new fall piece that I'm interested in wearing early are my new berry colored pants! I'm thinking of styling them with nude pieces for a fresher, summer look before I take them into fall!.
ReplyDeleteLove the color of that skirt! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHi J! I'm loving cobalt this season. It's a great color to transition into fall. I wear my cobalt jeans with basic black (tank & flats). I will definitely try them with pink and orange. Thanks for the ideas.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to experiment with this color combo for a while! Thanks for leading the way!

Anna, I agree! I dread this question because pretty much every blog drives me nuts for one reason or another. Most often b/c I can't relate to them and I don't understand how they are affording the clothes and why the all seem to be good at modeling. :-) That said, two I'm really liking right now are Atlantic Pacific and B.Jones Style!
ReplyDeleteI Need, Want. Need to Have MOOOORRRRRREEEEE Cobalt Blue Color in my Wardrobe. In My Must-Have List for next Spring-Summer 2012 will include lots of bright colored bottoms such as skirts, shorts (a couple of capris) and I can use a couple more Bright-Colored Jeans, too. As far as colors go I am thinking Cobalt Blue, Skye Blue, Kelly Green, Orange, Red, Fuchsia, Hot Pink and Yellow, what do you think J? I'd love your opinion on this, please?
ReplyDeleteAda, I love all those colors! My cobalt and red bottoms (I have pants and skirts of each) have proved to be must-haves, but I'm also always on the hunt for the other colors you mentioned as well. Can never have enough color in my opinion!
