Boucle jackets are a recent obsession of mine. I bought two on clearance in January from Zara, including the one I'm wearing today. They come in many shapes and colors (as you can see below) but they have a texture in common that I love for the visual interest and sophistication they add to an outfit; I almost feel like the First Lady when I'm wearing one. I like the idea of pairing boucle jackets with something trendy like peplum or t-strap shoes like in today's look, or masculine touches such as leather or graphic tees. Have you ever worn a boucle jacket? Why or why not?

I recently made a boucle jacket that is inspired by one I saw from Zara. I'm going to be posting it on my blog soon (if you want to check it out :)). I love them too! They look so polished and lady-like. I like to pair mine with some flare jeans or boyfriend jeans and a loose T underneath. I love your look- especially the necklace and shoes!

You can find great boucle jackets from thrift stores. And I'm intrigued by the idea of boucle with leather. Must try.

I guess I'm not the only one with a current obsession. I have two Cynthia Rowley jackets (one yellow, one black) that I bought on clearance from TJ Maxx for a steal. I also have a jacket that's sort of a tweedy mix with cotton sleeves from the Limited. These are my Jackie O jackets, lol. They are perfect for spring and SO classy. A look I have worked twice since buying my jackets...boucle with distressed skinnies and wedges. Compliments both times :)

Once again, I like your outfit even more than the inspiration. I think it's the proportions of the skirt. Yours is much more balanced. Very sophisticated color palate and you rock the peplum! Please keep inspiring the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteLove Boucle jackets! I styled mine with a sequins shirt and white skinnies for easter.. check it out!

Great timing for this post. I'm on the hunt for a boucle lady jacket. Also love your shoes.
ReplyDeleteYes they are totally Jackie O! I wore this jacket with distressed denim and pointy toe heels, I agree it is an excellent combo! :-)
ReplyDeleteI dont wear boucle jackets because most people don't wear them in high school, I think it's great for dressier occasions though!
