I might be a tad over-eager for spring to get here. I can't wait to wear neon, bright colors and skirts! I busted out my spring ideas a little too soon when I wore this outfit in Orlando recently. The venue + weather didn't match the outfit and I felt silly, but confidence is 99% of the battle so I rocked it and didn't let it ruin my night. It was a friendly reminder that you can love an outfit, but it also has to make sense within the setting. ;-) I also carried a bright blue leather clutch, not pictured, but same color as my shirt, see it here. What spring fashion are you most looking forward to?

Funny. I put on a bright neon yellow belt today with my royal blue shirt just to add a punch of color. I think it's still appropriate for the time of year and weather here in Georgia. I toned it down with black pants and leopard print ballet flats. Just a touch of Spring/Summer. So ready to rock some neon, bright colors this Summer!
ReplyDeleteI am really digging the color combination! I might even take a little inspiration from this outfit.

Love this outfit! Do the shoes fit true to size and are they comfortable? I love them but I've had bad luck recently buying shoes on the internet. The fit is never right and they are so uncomfortable!
ReplyDeletesuper cute! love the brights and the shoes are excellent!

While this looks great on you, I definitely don't think this is something the "average" woman can wear on a day to day basis without raising quite a few eyebrows. I DO love the yellow & blue color combination, though! I would swap out the bright yellow skinnies for a dark jean colored pair, keep the shoes, and add a yellow bubble necklace :)
ReplyDeleteah I love that clutch but I bought it not realizing I'm not quite a clutch girl. Sigh. I need to make an attempt to use it more. I also have a blouse veeery similar to that from the Limited and i loove it. I also need to make more use of that oops.
ReplyDeleteI am loving your top! I am looking forward to mastering the art of the statement necklace! But seriously it takes time to make the perfect outfit combo when using a statement necklace to have the perfect pop!

That sounds like a great outfit. It has a punch of colour, but still pre-spring appropriate. Good job and thanks for sharing.

Although the venue + the weather didn't quite match your outfit this time, your outfit (to me)............ is still a really gorgeous *nighttime* outfit!!
ReplyDeleteYour Patent Leather and Leather Sandals have such graceful, "sculpted heels"............ (i.e., with the inner-top of each heel having a slight inward-curvature)............ not to mention the visually *striking*, matte-gold-and-black, sewn-on BUTTON~~on the outer ankle strap~~of each sandal, too!! I can honestly see, J., how entire outfits might be *inspired* BY the............ 1) neon yellow........ 2) nude............ 3) matte gold............ and 4) black............ colors of your sandals............ i.e., maybe (?) even as you've been inspired here BY your bright-and-cheery Flirt Catalog heeled-sandals!!
Ahhh I know the feeling! I wore a pink cutout dress from ASOS to a bridal shower last year & it really rode a fine line between "fashion forward" & "lady of the night"...haha Perhaps a little too fashion forward for Coloradoans! It still haunts me thinking about it!
