Today's post is a mash up of ideas one with common theme - neon yellow! I'm loving this color for spring, and I wanted to try some outfits with my new anorak. Jeans and a bright t-shirt were the easiest combo (left, that's my dog Bella!), and for the more adventurous I thought I'd try the same jacket with camo pants and matching neon yellow shoes (middle, pretty out there but I would totally rock it). And finally, another camo and neon yellow look, this one sans pink. *whew* I think that covers it! Which look is your favorite?
Yellow jacket: Limited, $35
Pink shirt: Victoria's Secret c/o MJR Sales, $7 (same)
Boat shoes: White Mountain c/o Ross, $25 (similar)
Heels: Flirt Catalog c/o, $25
Pink necklace: Limited, $20
Gold necklace: My Stella & Dot website, $89
Macy's / Nordstrom / Amazon Target / Nine West / Express |
You rock these outfits! Look 2 is my fave. I wouldn't dare wear yellow, but maybe just maybe one day I will have the courage to buy something in this color.
ReplyDeleteBella is so so cute!! I remember a post where your camera caught you talking to her, and I wondered what kind of dog she was.
ReplyDeleteSo I have never heard of an anorak before (so cute by the way) - you're teaching me vocabulary, J! My favorite is the first outfit, but I would want to see it with your yellow heels! I think that would be the best combination :)
I love the neon shoes... Xoxo V.V.
ReplyDeleteYour puppy is an adorable accessory! I like the first look best. A fun weekend look. Heather
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm new to your blog (love it!). My favs are looks 2 and 3. Look #1 is a little too safe for me.
ReplyDeletethe first two looks with the pink top are my fav! and your little pup is so cute! xo

I've been a follower of your blog for quite some time. I love your looks and today is no exception. I was eyeing this neon yellow jacket from Limited for quite some time. But the reviews on the quality are so so. I was just wondering if you could let me know if you agree that the fabric is too thin??
ReplyDeleteNeon is slowly growing on me (I know, I know, I must have been living under a rock)! Love the metallic boat shoes! Have a great weekend!

The first one is definitely my favorite, the pup pushed it to the top!
ReplyDeleteThe first one is my favorite also! Cute Bella!
ReplyDeleteI'm partial to look number 3! But look 1 is a close second! :) Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are #1 and #3. I don't think I'm brave enough to wear yellow, pink, AND camo together. They all look great on you, though. By the way, Bella is adorable! Is she a Lhasa Apso?
ReplyDeleteI love your shoes in the first outfit. Not sure how I feel about neon. It brings me back to the early 90's :), My favorite neon shoes is the last one from Express. It has just a touch of it. I would totally wear that. I would love it if you would like my blog Vodka Infused Lemonade on facebook.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Agi:)

I am a bit of a chicken when it comes to brights like that. I'd probably just opt for the last shoes you posted (the Express ones that are mostly beige) and keep it there. It's a fun look on you though. I like the look sans-pink the best.
ReplyDeleteThe third outfit is my favorite! The neon yellow is unexpected with the camo and it (surprisingly) looks really good. Gonna have to try it out.

I like best with the jeans and the puppy!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite and most wearable everyday style is the jeans. The yellow compliments the pink and the dark wash of the jeans. The shoes are a neutral gold, so they don't pull your eyes away from your face and shoulders. Very cute look, definitely something I would wear on the weekends or even casual Friday at work (without destroyed look). :) Thanks for sharing!

Shuh Tzu's are the best accessory evah!!!!!!!! She's adorable. I'm loving the yellow/green/yellow
ReplyDeleteMore picturs of the doggie!
ReplyDeleteMjr sales? Are you still able to order from them and how? When I go to the website it says upgrading, love all your outfits!
ReplyDeleteI like the third look the best and I usually don't like cammo - but you styled it perfectly.
ReplyDeleteYour dog is adorable!! My favorite is the second outfit, I think the heels really match the jacket, the pink and yellow look like you're ready for spring!

Wow those colors are pretty bold! Don't think I'd have the nerve to wear it because with an outfit like this, one is certain to draw attention (I'm still a wallflower). But it looks so amazing on you! I personally like it with the boat shoes better. The neon shoes make it look too costume-y for my personal taste.
ReplyDeleteThey are switching to a new warehouse and haven't be online for about 6 months now. Still hoping they come back!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! She is a Shorkie - a Shih Tzu, Yorkie mix.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric is VERY thin, so definitely know that if you are planning to order online. I dig a thin fabric personally - means I will get more use out of it here in Florida, especially when it's warm and raining! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing so many ways to wear the color! I can't wait for spring fashion. Your dog is so cute!:) My dog is named Bella, but she's a beagle.

Welcome to the blog! :-)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree!! I thought of that this morning - first look with yellow heels and the pink necklace = gotta try it.
ReplyDeleteLove the first look best, overall. The heels are amazing though. I just recently bought the acid yellow faux leather jacket from The Limited. I have only thought of work or evening options for it, but I think the jacket would look great in something similar to your first look. Thanks for the inspiration.

I just bought that yellow anorak, too! I haven't tried wearing it open yet, but I love the look and am going to try it with a bright pink shirt and see how it looks. I love the first look!

I would so rock the middle look. Loving it!

Love the way you did camo!! I normally detest camo-I've never owned a single piece of it. But you totally pulled it off. I could sport that look with no regrets-bravo!!

ReplyDeleteAww looks my lil Shorkie, Teddy :-)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is outfit 3! I would totally wear it! And Bella is ADORABLE!!
ReplyDeleteJ, what size did you get this jacket in? I am loving it every time I see it online, but haven't seen in the store. I wanted to order it, but leery on the size I need. Does it seem to run big, small, loose? I have very wide shoulders and short arms so guessing on this might be tough. Steph
ReplyDeletehm, also the price went UP. Last week I looked at it and it was $49.99 online (I believe) so this is disappointing. With their 40% off now it's $58.80 online. Steph
ReplyDeleteXS! I'm wearing it with the belt tied in a bow in the back so it stays open! :-)
ReplyDeleteOH my! Love it specially the last outfit.=D

Have been looking for some "glam" camo pants and found your image on Pinterest (of course)! From what I've read, these pants run small. I usually wear a 4 in jeans but was wondering if I should go up to a size 6? Did you find that these run small?
ReplyDeleteAny help would be greatly appreciated! :)
Kristen, yes Zara is a European company so it tends to run small. I went one size up in these pants and they are perfect!
