The weather was beautiful in Orlando yesterday and this is what I wore to brunch and a Winter Park boat tour! When I first tried on this dress in my room, I went with a coral blazer and cognac shoes. When I was getting dressed yesterday though, I was in the mood for a much lower heel and a jacket that wasn't as bright, so I grabbed my trench and some nude peep-toes instead. I think both work and ultimately there are tons of ways to style this dress. How would you wear it?

ReplyDeletei keep hoping for a switch up in the way you style your hair. outfits are always great but I'd love to see variety in your hair styles.

I prefer the tan look. You are lucky it's so warm! Here in MN it was -22 this am. Yes! Negative! I think I need a vacation.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this dress!! So tempted to purchase it, how is the sizing? Also have been loving all your statement necklaces; where do you find them? Thanks!

I love this look- the tan is much more fun for an outdoorsy type day- the cognac looks better for more of that "business casual" look!

I think the nude heel and trench is my favorite option!

Personally, I like the tan jacket better - great shots! It would have been fun to see a close-up of the photo in the Kraft Azalea Gardens. Looks like you had a great time.

CUTE! I haven't been to winter park in ages! I need to go, its so cute and adorable there! Beautiful as always missy!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I always love your outfits. do you ever think of doing something with your hair? Hair is one of our best accessories and can be done up so many cute ways.
ReplyDeleteMy friends got this necklace at a local boutique for my b-day this summer. Try any of the boutiques with ads in the right-hand column though - they all sell similar styles! For the dress I went with a M for length, but it's a tad big so it looks better with the stretchy belt.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I am so tempted to get the dress... :)
ReplyDeleteLove the dress with the coral jacket & cognac heels, the trench does nothing for me.
ReplyDeleteHow long ago did you get your BCBG nude shoes from Ross?
ReplyDeleteLOVE all those bright colors, J - so cheerful! I prefer the first look, with the tan heels and thick belt.
ReplyDeletegreat dress, checking it out now. jealous of the weather in those pics!!!

So jealous of your warm weather! Oh to have bare legs and peep toe pumps right now :) This is a great dress and I love how you toned down the bright dress with the khaki jacket. Very cute dress. Heather
ReplyDeleteYou should do more photos outside, Florida is such a gorgeous landscape
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute dress!! The print and colors are perfect. Both ways your paired it were great, but the one you actually wore is more my style. :)

I really like the fun print and colors of your dress! Dresses similar to yours are my favorites because they are really easy to wear everyday during the summer with a pair of sandals or they could be dressed up for a night out in the summer as well. Plus it's a great time to have crazy geometric prints and colors!

I am in love with those colors! The dress looks great on you!

I'd love to see more outfits like this that are lovely and your own creation rather than the inspiration photos!

I just love how the bold, flame-like geometric print of your dress............ "stands out" with neutrals............ i.e., your TAN trench coat; your wide, (primarily) TAN stretch belt; and your NUDE peep-toe heels!!
ReplyDeleteBecause I admire how you so skillfully mix black-and-navy, J. ............ (and also because I remember your stunning "Inside the Duomo" Milanese church photograph in your 9/23/11
blogpost, too!!)............ I wonder if maybe styling a *Glowing, Stained Glass Look* of some sort would work with your dress, (since it's colors are *already* so sharp and vivid, almost like stained glass!!)............ i.e., by pairing your dress with a BLACK or DEEP NAVY blazer/cardigan; belt; pumps/sandals; and/or purse/clutch?? Additionally, since you also always *rock* a boho look, too----(with your slender silhouette literally m.a.d.e. for boho!!)----I wonder how a fringed, braided, and/or tasseled belt; shoes; and/or purse + a flowy crochet cardigan; or an airy, open-weave crochet pullover sweater of some sort would look with your dress??
I think the change was a good one. I like the tan/nude shoes and the casual trench. That dress can stand on it own. I like both belts too, I just noticed that you switched that as well!

My husband proposed to me right where you are sitting in Kraft Azalea Garden! I miss it there! I went to grad school in Orlando, but now I'm back to the cold cold winters in Chicago.
ReplyDeleteI love the look with the trench. It would also look great with some brown boots! That colour looks great on you too!

Andrea, I believe I got them about 1.5 years ago!
ReplyDeleteBoth looks are so cute, but I think I like the nude shoes better. It's about 15 degrees where I live right now, so I'm really jealous!
ReplyDeleteI def vote pink blazer!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of the dress! Really pretty :)

I JUST tried that dress on yesterday! :) great minds think alike!

ReplyDeleteThis is a
great look. The bright colors with the muted
tones of tan really bring this together.
The mix match of accessories really gives new looks that work for
multiple occasions. I love the site keep it up!
I love those shoes...may I ask what the height of the heel is?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to guesstimate about 2.5 inches.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm a teacher and I think that 2.5 heel height is about as high as I can go and a wedge is best. I love this shoe, the color, peep toe and detailing on the toe. Thank you for sharing. Your outfits give me ideas on how to use what I have in my closet...mix and match things that I never thought of.
