Today's Everyday Fashion: White Out














































All the rain we had last week cooled down temperatures quite a bit, and I was craving this look. I love wearing white in the summer and the addition of the military vest breaks up the blank canvas without the added heat of a jacket. This is personally my favorite kind of simple, preppy look for running errands or meeting friends for lunch - and I also think it would be a great look for a mom-on-the-go (just bring a Tide stick in case you spill something). Would you dare to wear all-white?

    I like this look, J!  It's funny - I have more "embarrassing period" stories than I care to know about ;- including "it wasn't supposed to be NOW!" stories - HOWEVER, now that I stopped - yes! white looks like a "go"!  Thanks for the suggestions on how to wear!!!

    You give THE best style advice.  I really like this white & white look, super cute!  Please help with a question I have....how would you style a cream colored eyelet skirt?  Everything I pair it with just doesn't look good.

    Thanks Rona! I would wear that skirt the same way I would wear a lace skirt - I would pair it with something masculine, such as a denim shirt, a cargo vest, a loose button-up or a loose fitting t-shirt. Hope this helps!

    I simply love your all-white outfit, particularly with the vest~~~~tres chic!!

    Another thing I've learned - (of many, many things!!) - from your blog is what "flashes" are, i.e., in the second "similar" example for your Vest, Above............ (as described in the YOOX.COM website)............ for the FREESOUL Military-Green Sleeveless Jacket.    "Flashes" are fabric TABS on a piece of clothing, e.g., say, the fabric TABS on-top-of each shoulder (aka "epaulette" tabs); OR, say, the fabric TABS near-the-end-of each sleeve (aka "roll-tab" or "button-tab" sleeves);  and............ although your really *gorgeous* vest doesn't have shoulder "flashes"............ they can be seen in your Inspiration Photo!!

    You're just *so creative*, J., when you take a very
    historically-traditional, structured vest, (aka "a sleeveless blazer"); 
    and style it............ *so* very au courant for SP/SU 2012!!
