First re-creation |
Two years ago today I started jseverydayfashion.com* - and what a ride it's been! I had a vision of fashion media without the frills, that felt doable, and ultimately would give women a realistic source for fashion inspiration (celebrities are the best, but how does someone on a budget do it?). And without a doubt I'm even more passionate about this cause today. Everyday I strive to bring you new ideas for using the items you already have in your closet, for smart shopping, and ultimately to help you solve the question "what do I wear?" so that you can get to the good stuff in life - your family, your job, and the things you care about the most. In celebration of two years, I decided to take a look back - at the first outfit I ever created (below) and my first ever re-creation (above)**. I'm also taking a look forward, but am both excited and nervous to not know what the next year will bring. And today? Today I want to recognize the best thing about this website - you! You mean the world to me; thank you for reading. Cheers to two years!

ReplyDelete*C.*O.*N.*G.*R.*A.*T.*U.*L.*A.*T.*I.*O.*N.*S.* on............ the 2-Year Anniversary of J's Everyday Fashion!! I just l.o.v.e. ............ the true artistry~~(on a budget, yet!!)~~in *everything* you style!!
ReplyDeleteTo say that you've met *many* (online and off-line) challenges, J. ............ (i.e., head-on and with extraordinary grace and poise)............ in these past 2 years is probably a genuine understatement!! Some of those challenges probably would've REALLY "taken down"............ a woman of lesser strength, and of weaker character, than a woman with the strength and character that you're *blessed* with, you know ............ (and that you ALSO work/strive/pray very, *v.e.r.y. h.a.r.d.* for every single day, too!!)
For those of us, (particularly of an older generation, and I'm 61), who've maybe had some of our cherished dreams............ discouraged............ disparaged............ belittled............ and/or just flat-out-stomped-on............ *Y.O.U. G.O., G.I.R.L.*!! I think you're going to successfully be IN the Fashion Business for The Long-Haul............ on The Right Path............ 'never~~(as we ALL should!!)~~forgetting, figuratively, Where You Came From............ with your wonderful Kansas Sense Of Self............ *intact throughout*, you know.
And, in the meantime, could you please-please-*please* somehow style your ROCKIN', on-trend, lavender jeans, J. ............ with your gorgeous-and-forever-CLASSIC silver belt (Above) from The Limited??!! (Haha!!)
Congratulations on two amazing years. I love your blog :-)
