Today's Everyday Fashion: Round 2
Well guys, I made it into the top 2 in the Lauren Conrad blogging contest! I wanted to share the outfits I came up with because white jeans might be my favorite staple ever, and for this challenge I had to use the same three items (jeans, shirt and bracelet) in a look for shopping (left) and a girl's night out (right). I think it's fun to see how much of a difference shoes and accessories can make in an outfit - I'm boho on the left, and Miami chic on the right! Which one is more your style? (Also - this is the last round, so if you have a chance please go here to vote and/or comment. I"ll be very excited if I win so I can give the $500 Kohl's gift card to you guys!)
ps. Tomorrow night (Wed, April 11th) I'm having a gently-used-clothes-from-my-closet sale on Facebook, just like I used to! Pictures will be posted at 8pm EST, 40 items, sizes 0-4, shoes size 10. See ya there!

Wow, really cute! I actually can't decide, I like both of those looks a lot! I can't believe how different they look!
ReplyDeleteI voted for you but didn't comment on Lauren's thing
ReplyDeleteLove the touches of neon - definitely a winner in my book! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you win, J! I've been voting for you throughout this contest. I think your looks are the most wearable for a greater number women.
ReplyDeleteOut of these, the first outfit is something I can see myself wearing, mostly because I'm a huge fan of fringe. lol.
Loving the Miami Chic look.
ReplyDeleteI like them both although I don’t think the bracelet(s) works with the boho outfit. Very fun and both are cute. Hope you win.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all your voting Ashley! I super-appreciate it. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Megan! :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth the looks turned out so amazing, love. You look stunning. Best of luck.
ReplyDeleteHi J! I've been following your blog for awhile but this is my first comment :) Honsetly both looks are great but I must say neon intimidates me a little. I voted for you - I just wanted to say that I appreciate how relatable your blog is and how you make me want to try looks that might be a little out of my comfort zone. I love that you keep it real and aren't out doing pro-style photo shoots to showcase the outfits you feature on your blog. Thanks for your amazing inspiration!
ReplyDeleteAllison, you just made my day! Thank you so much for saying hi and for the feedback! :-)
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you!!
ReplyDeleteLove the two different looks.
Cheers.
LOVE the both, but the outfit on the left is just to die for--so effortless and comfy! I need some white jeans ASAP. :)
ReplyDelete--them both-- ha! I always mess something up in my posts. :)

ReplyDeleteCongrats to you on making it so far in the contest! No surprise though...you have great style! I like the look on the right best...the fun red pop in the shoes with the neon necklace paired with that jacket look great!
ReplyDeleteI just voted for you!
ReplyDeleteLove them both, but the one that is more my style is the boho look. I already voted for you a while back. Can we vote a 2nd time? You should definitely be the winner of this contest! Love your blog! Love the outfits you put together - always very inspirational, and very much "do-able". And like many others have said, you have helped me try out new things, and with confidence! That's huge!
ReplyDeleteI like the chic one! good luck in the contest!

Congrats on making it to the top 2! I really like both these outfits, but I'd probably be more likely to wear the one on the right - the color you've added with the accessories and shoes is so fun! Best of luck. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on making it to top 2. I just voted for you!

I keep on voting for you, best of luck in the final stretch, J! I think the first look is more my style, I love neon but I always gravitate towards the neutrals in my closet.
ReplyDeleteJust voted! Love both looks! I especially love how different they look when you changed the accessories! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI love white jeans and think that everyone should own a couple of pairs. I really like both of these looks and now I have some really great ideas! Thanks for sharing and good luck!
ReplyDeleteReally like both looks! I adore the blazer and neon accessories in the second look very much :)

I voted for you. Good luck J!!
ReplyDeleteis it safe to wear white denim in the northeast yet?!
ReplyDeleteJ, I love your blog and I love the boho look!! I already voted (several times) in this round and the previous round. I was never a big fan of fringe, but your boho look makes it feel very cool and modern! Love it! Congrats for making it so far!! I look forward to reading your blog every day and really hope you win the contest.
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet, thank you! I never used to be much of a fan of the boho trend, but lately I'm loving it more and more! It's fun to try. :-)
ReplyDeleteI say go for it! It's all about how you style it. I used to wear white jeans in Boston during the winter with knee high boots and a wool coat. :-)
ReplyDeleteRock Chalk Fatima! :-) Thanks for saying hi and for all your votes, I appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteI simply love how you've VERY SLIGHTLY C.U.F.F.E.D. your white jeans in *both* your gorgeously-styled outfits, (Above)!! I realize it's such a small, UNobvious thing to do............ (and both outfits would've still looked great with-or-without cuffing your white jeans!!)............ but it just (to me) seems to indicate how much *care* you've taken, J., in styling your two~~(very wearable, "non-costumey," and very different in "feel"/vibe!!)~~outfits............ i.e., FROM, on the Left, the top-of-your-braided-hair............ down TO your pretty-pink-polished-toes............ and FROM, on the Right, the "sparkle* of your sequined-jacket-and-faceted-necklace............ down TO the *shine* of your patent-covered-feet!!By the way, even though............ *I* know............ and *you* know............ and all of *your Readers* know, (haha!!)............ that your two outfits here are, of course, very purposely-styled, I decided to ask my (just a regular "guy's-guy") husband for HIS Just-A-Regular-Guy's-Guy Opinion about your two outfits. He said this: "They look like something that girls J.'s age would normally wear; and they also don't look like they've been put together 'just for' the camera." Soooo, that's (only) one GUY'S-GUY perspective for ya, J.!! Which probably then means that I'd better think about just stickin' TO............ 4 3⁄4-inch heels with a 7⁄8-inch hidden platform, (or *lower*!!)............ INSTEAD OF 6-inch stiletto heels with a 2-inch hidden platform, (haha)!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could pull off a pair of white jeans! :( I love the way they look on you!!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel like lighter color jeans make me look shorter and
"stumpier"...but my disclaimer is I am SUPER self conscious of my
height...I hate being this short and think that I cannot pull off any of
these looks. Any suggestions on outfits that may "lenghthen" me a
bit??
Rachel, have you tried wearing nude shoes yet? They can do wonders for making your legs look longer, especially if they are a similar shade to your skin tone. A shoe like that with a skirt just above your knee will make your legs look a mile long! I also think white jeans could make you look taller - just make sure they fit well (are "slim" but not super tight of course), and while mine are cropped, I might go for a longer length for you (you an always roll them up) and then some nude pumps or wedges. I hope this helps! :-)
