Tower Bridge |
On our second day in London, we took the royal tour! We saw Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower Bridge and everything in between. A very long walk and a lot of sightseeing to squeeze into one day, but thankfully this outfit was very comfy! I stashed a scarf in my bag just in case, and it proved to be very necessary once the sun went down (brrr). This was another outfit I did not plan and came up with while on vacation. I had planned to wear this same shirt and scarf with a camel blazer and olive cargo pants, but was in the mood for a skirt and some sailor stripes that day so I went with it. :-) Do you generally pack full outfits, or pieces for your trips?

Love the pic in front of Big Ben. So cute!
ReplyDeleteFabulous outfit, I can see this as something Kate would wear!! I tend to pack outfits but I try my best to make sure everything I bring will somehow co-ordinate with each other so that if I feel like mixing and matching I can!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous outfit! Love the stripes and polka dots :) I plan out full outfits when traveling, but then always end up switching things out as I go. Which in turn, means I overpacked and didn't wear half of what I brought!
ReplyDeleteI'm absolutely obsessed with the outfit you wore in this post. Amazing! When I go on vacations I like to pack full outfits. I write out a list of how many of what type of outfit I need (aka how many beach outfits, how many day outfits, how many evening outfits, how many workout outfits) and then I pack everything to match. Except with shoes, I just pack one or two essential pairs that match every outfit, to save space. Usually ends up being my gray slouchy Steve Madden Bonanza boots and my tan leather AE flip flops.
ReplyDeleteI love that you planned out each outfit for the day and tried it on before you left. I always plan out full outfits be don't bother trying them on. This can definately lead to frustration on the trip. I may have to try this trick. I love the polka dots.
ReplyDeleteLovin the stripes and looks like you havin a lot of fun. Great look

When you're done with your trip recaps, I think it would be great to see a post that gives a pic for each day of your trip in one post. Just to summarize and show all the outfits worn on the trip in one place. It would give a better sense for how many times you wore each piece, and would be a good reference for those of us trying to strategize packing for long trips coming up!
ReplyDeleteBridget, I am definitely planning to do that! I'm also going to talk about things that I packed and didn't use, and also things I wish I would have packed. Glad to hear it might be useful for you guys! :-)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing that day - Kate would wear this. :-) Lol. Thank you! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think this might be my favorite outfit yet!

ReplyDeleteLoving all the London photos. We were there in July
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is SO cute! Simple & preppy and absolutely adorable! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove your London outfit.
ReplyDeleteI like the black and white stripes with the cognac (is that what color you would say it is?) colored accessories. Actually, I like how you work the boots and belt so much similar ones are on my fall shopping list! And I do pack some outfits, but also enough neutrals that I can mix and match depending on weather, or something unexpected coming up.
ReplyDeleteDanielle, yes I would call it cognac and camel! My shirt and jacket are navy - (it's so hard to photograph navy for some reason).
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!!

ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! Chic and comfy - can't beat that. I usually pack lots of interchangable pieces to make different outfits depending on the occasion, weather, etc. of the day.
ReplyDeletethe upper shirt and coat match well and the inner outfits are match also with each other. hmmmm now i get to your fashion theme. most of the times i found your such matching style.
ReplyDeleteOk, this is one of my all time favorites!
ReplyDeleteI try to plan outfits when I am on vacation, but I always end up bringing a few "extra" things just in case...I like having the versatility available to mix and match and change my mind!
