Pink, pink, pink. Bring on the pink! I love doing monochromatic looks with the same color (such as this blue outfit here) and today I thought I would try a summery work look with pink. As a kid I was more likely to play with my G.I. Joe than my Barbie, but I was also a girlie girl who was obsessed with Lisa Frank and insisted that everything I wear be purple and pink. This outfit is something I would have loved as a kid! What did you like to wear as a kid?

That's so funny! I tagged this photo for inspiration also.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great look! You look fantastic as always :)
I was a tomboy as a kid and a skater girl, so it was always baggy jeans, Chuck Taylors, and T-Shirts. My look has changed A LOT since then!

I saved this same exact photo for inspiration! You did a great job pairing all the pinks together, and I love the red heels!
ReplyDeleteI was a tomboy/skater girl so I was in jeans, Chuck Taylors, and T-shirts. Boy, my look has changed drastically over the years!

normally I am terrified to pair purple and pink together, but this turned out really cute!!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for a few months now and my work wardrobe consists mostly of black.white/gray dresses with cardigans in the warmer months. I finally made the jump and just ordered a few colored pencil skirts from The Limited. I love the outfits you put together. So much fun and colorful yet completely professional for an office setting. Can't wait to try out some new combinations with the skirts.
ReplyDeleteLove the pink flower!!
ReplyDeleteI was a totally girly girl growing up. Pink & purple all the way -- and dresses all the time, please :) {apparently not much as changed!}

loved wearing pink and purple...most of the times they were completely coordinated outfits (leggings, sweat shirt or tee and a head band or scrunch...and sometimes matching socks)
ReplyDeleteTHIS is colorblocking perfection. Pinned it! Well done :)
ReplyDeleteI've been following your blog for awhile and have really enjoyed it! You have inspired many outfits! I am wearing the exact same skirt today paired with a floral shirt and grey tones. I bought the skirt after I saw it featured here in the Spring. I love it! Thanks for a great blog!
ReplyDeleteIs your skirt purple or pink? And are your shoes red or darker pink? Love your outfit!

Lisa Frank rocks! I miss my old Trapper Keeper. :( As a kid, I wore a lot of stirrup pants and super long sweaters. I also wore costumes in public when it wasn't Halloween. What can I say, I was a bit dorky.
ReplyDeleteI'm posted a very pink outfit today too! I also played with GI Joes and Legos, but I loved Lisa Frank and Hello Kitty stuff. I can remember two shirts that I loved, one of which was all pink with teddy bears on it hahaha.

I have the skirt from the Limited in my shopping cart as we speak!
ReplyDeleteLove it Sage. You were an early Lady Gaga. I think that's awesome. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Natalie! I call my skirt fuchsia pink, but some might think it's more purple (it's one of those gray area colors). My shoes are red. (a close cousin to pink!) ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, I'm so glad you like the blog!
ReplyDeleteLove it haha. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove this look!! Nothing Barbie-ish about it. You look fab!!

Oh my gosh I forgot all about Lisa Frank! I was obsessed with her too. Especially the cool school folders!
ReplyDeleteHaha oh sweet Lord, living in Mississippi, you betcha I had my name or monogram on everything I owned! It was a lovely look that was coupled with a hairbow the size of a dinner plate!
ReplyDeletedooood I was the same way about G.I. Joes vs. Barbies, but also, like you, loved wearing pink and Lisa Frank was awesome. haha. cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteLove this look..you look great in pink!
ReplyDeleteWow shoe carnival shoes? I haven't been there in a minute! I guess we shouldn't sleep on Shoe Carnival, those shoes are hot!
ReplyDeleteI bought these shoes more than 5 years ago so I haven't been in years! It's always worth a shot though!
ReplyDeleteI tried on that skirt from The Limited, but it was cuter on the hanger than on me! I love the color combinations in your outfit, very feminine & in style for the season!
ReplyDeleteHi J Pretty in Pink! I am not sure I have ever tried an one-color monochromatic look with different shades or nuances of the same color but I do have all the pieces to create a head-to-toe Pink look like this. I love that you wore your red pumps. =D I Have that Limited Pencil Skirt you have advertised by the way (the third one) and when I got it I also purchased not one but two fuschia tops to wear with it, also from The Limited.
