Today's Everyday Fashion: July 4th
Happy 4th of July! (a little early) I love red, white and blue so it's not hard for me to show patriotism on my favorite holiday! This year I decided to focus on stripes and created two looks to choose from. I will most likely wear the top one tomorrow, but I love them both. I'm taking the day off from blogging to enjoy the holiday with my family and friends, so I want to see what YOU are wearing for July 4th. Please link to your outfits in the comments section, or upload them to my Facebook page! Happy Independence Day!

Both the looks are fabulous. I think it might have a little something to do with your fabulous legs too ;)
ReplyDeleteSo cute...and I love the pairing w/ the nude sandals!

Both looks are great, but if I had to pick, I'd go with the first one.
ReplyDeleteLove that Juicy bag, by the way. Do you have the product name? I'd love to hunt one down on Ebay or something!
Thanks Chrissie! I'm not sure of the exact product name, but I know that Juicy bags with the lock on the front (they made tons of colors and shapes) is called "turnlock." Hope that helps!
ReplyDeletePerfect for 4th of July! I love the shorts outfit!
ReplyDeleteLove the first outfit!! Happy 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteI love your looks. I needed some inspiration on what to wear tomorrow :) thank you for the ideas
ReplyDeleteHope you have a happy and safe 4th of July :)

Thanks for giving me some fun outfit ideas for the 4th! I need to find a pop of red to go with my new striped top!
ReplyDeleteI tried this skirt at BR a few weeks ago... Wasn't quite right on me so I passed on it, but it's similar to the look you have: http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=35288&vid=1&pid=837507
Thank you! The BR link isn't working. :-( Feel free to post again, would love to see it!
ReplyDeleteI can confidently say, I personally prefer your takes over the inspiration photos! And nautical--so classic and so chic...what's NOT to love?! :)
ReplyDeleteFrom Happy Canada Day here to Happy Fourth of July to you!
Boo to the link not working! It worked when I click on it, but computers can be silly like that so here's another attempt: http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=35288&vid=1&pid=837507 . It's listed as the Maria Striped Layered Skirt. VERY cute and comfy and came in a few other colors, but wasn't quite the right shape on me.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeanette, quick question, how to you keep the belt from riding up when it isn't "looped" in?
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! Love the shirt and want to get one, but looks like there is only size L left :( what size are you wearing in this picture? I think we are about the same size.
ReplyDeleteI'm referring to the long sleeved nautical stripe shirt. Thanks! Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteI always love red, white, and blue ensembles! Something so quintessentially American yet so Parisian chic :-)
ReplyDeleteAlthough I didn't wear any red, white, or blue (other than to the baseball game I went to earlier), I totally riffed off Keira Knightley and the midi-skirt trend: http://livingspreethegoodlife.wordpress.com/2011/07/05/bitch-stole-my-look-fourth-of-july-edition/
That skirt is so cute! I can see how the fit might be difficult, but the pattern is great, thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you! My shirt is an XS. I'm usually a size 0 or 2 in tops and blazers. Hope that helps! :-)
ReplyDeleteI adore your stripey skirt!
