My favorite fashion trick is definitely juxtaposing two "opposite" pieces. Hard and soft, feminine and masculine - like leather and lace, or the edgy t-shirt and preppy jacket in today's look. Thanks to the lovely Marie Denee for snapping these photos while we were in San Francisco, and you can see the previous way I wore this graphic tank here. What are your favorite items to juxtapose?

I really like this look, the mustard jeans paired with a navy blazer/jacket and a quirky tee beneath...only problem here in the UK, for me, is the horse/ cow related icons on the tee shirts!!!! :))
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tops are the one your wearing from Windsor and also the Nasty Gal ones too! I like the animal ones, they are the cutest!

'Just from the comments of others, I didn't realize these jeans are your mustard jeans!! My computer has shown the previous indoor shots of your mustard yellow jeans as a "true" mustard color; yet~~(i.e., in these three outside shots in San Francisco!!)~~your jeans almost look like they're a rich, Kraft Caramel brown color!! Either way............ (i.e., mustard yellow jeans OR Kraft Caramel brown jeans!!)............ your "Edgy-Preppy" look really *r.o.c.k.s.*!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you wore your Windsor Store Graphic Tank, J. ............ instead of............ the Wildfox Couture Printed Sleeveless T-Shirt----(i.e., as in the middle of the second row, Above)!! If I were a child (looking up at!!) the buffalo skull and feather print on the front of the Wildfox Couture Printed Sleeveless T-Shirt............ well, it would just be *so scary* for a child; (and his/her many little playmates, too), you know, J.!
Great blazer! Zara has some of the best styles for jackets/blazers/coats.
