This jacket is pretty much my favorite item in my closet. I wore it a lot in real life this fall/winter, and posted tons of outfits with it here - so many that I'm not sure whether to apologize or be excited. My most recent outfit is at the top; the possibilities seem endless and I never seem to tire of it. It's like Groundhog Day, but green and a jacket. Which look is your favorite? Do you own a military jacket?

this military jacket is great -- I love how you show how versatile it is! xo
ReplyDeleteThis is such a versatile piece to have! No wonder it's one of your favorites. Too many great options to pick a favorite!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you did this post although I have already done this same thing with your military jacket outfits - colected them and made a "collage" photo out of them to see them all in one place, to take a look when I need ideas on how to wear my military jacket(thanks to you I bought one this fall/winter :) & posted a few outfits on your fb page :) ) though it is so versatile it goes well with pretty much anything!
ReplyDeleteMy favourites - first row # 2, 4, 5, 6 and the second row - # 3 & 4 (all of those jeans+boots+plaid/stripes/V neck sweater+mil. jacket outfits). THE best - maybe #2 in the first row and #4 in the second, though it's a tough call :) (when I take a better look at them you just changed the shirt... :) and belted the jacket... The one with cream jeans is also really really nice and unusual...)
i <3 my military jacket... and LOVE all your stylings!

My favorites are outfits 9 and 10, I love seeing all the outfits you've made because I own a military jacket and sometimes find it hard to make outfits with it.

What a versatile piece. I have a pseudo military inspired jacket which I love, but it's just too cold to wear right now.

There is nothing wrong with having a favorite piece, so don't be embarrassed! I love the jacket in your shopping reference section by ADD, may have to scoop that one up!

I really like #2, belted with the striped shirt, even though there isn't a look I don't like and plan to try. I bought a military jacket for the first time last fall and love its versatility. It is my go-to jacket for cooler weather. By the way, I really like your 'multiple ways' posts.
ReplyDeleteI am wearing my plaid shirt just like this today!(#6) Wish I would have thought to out my military jacket over it! With the crazy weather here, it may be an after lunch add! Love all of your ideas!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!
Love your jacket! Too bad it's sold out. My post today is about military jackets, too! Hope you check it out :)

oooh I love this post because I have a jacket like that and I never know how to dress it up correctly! Thanks for the great ideas!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great post! Check out our favorite Military jackets here:http://www.confessionsoftheglitterati.com/2013/02/feeling-fatigue.html
ReplyDeleteI don't know why but I love it with the sequins. The contrast is great! I have been wanting a military jacket because I think it's a staple but I always cheap out or am picky about the color etc. Thanks for the great options!

I love love that jacket. I just recently bought one from H&M that I'm super excited about sporting. I think you should be so excited about the many uses you got out of it! And there are so many more you have yet to cover...haha
ReplyDeleteI actually just found one, so I'm excited for all the inspiration on how to wear it!
ReplyDeleteThat jacket is so versatile!

I really like outfits #2, #5 and #8! I do not own a military jacket but this post encourages me to find new ways to wear a khaki zip-up jacket I bought at Old Navy years ago. Sadly, it has spent more time in my closet, hidden away, than it has being worn. I bet it could be just as versatile as this jacket you have is, if I gave it more consideration.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know what to pair with a jacket likt this, but looks like you are full of ideas! My favorites are the stripes, and the buffalo checks. :-)

The second one is my favorite! I own a military jacket, but I barely wear it. Thanks for the inspiration, J. I'm think I'm going to try and style it this weekend :)
ReplyDelete"...but green and a jacket." Will you just freaking marry me already? In a platonic way? Hahahaha this is fantastic.

I have been thinking about buying one but now... I have to get one. thanks for the outfit ideas.

I love how your gold pendant necklace; your golden bracelets; your brass belt buckle; and the golden zipper/metallic studs/metallic tips at the ankle on your boots............ all effectively *highlight* the brass-tone buttons of your military jacket!! Your outfit would still be g.r.e.a.t. without the (golden accessory) highlights, but............ your having the (golden accessory) highlights, J. ............ really does *elevate and finish* the look!! BEAUTIFUL styling!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Sierra Trading Post's jacket, on Sale----top row, second jacket from the left, Above----also seems to be (?) one of those jackets............ i.e. in "Tan (01)," though, instead of in "Olive (02)" ............ in which the (pairing) possibilities............ also might simply seem............ *endless*, too!!
I didn't know what to wear to class today, so I copied this look to a tee! Thanks, J!
ReplyDeleteI asked for one for my birthday, after seeing your posts. My sister bought one from the links you provided. I've worn it twice so far which is every day it's gotten warm enough to wear it. It is my only jacket in between athletic and dressy so it's going to see lots of use this year.
ReplyDeleteI completely love this jacket, and all the outfits you made with it. I've been wanting one like it.
ReplyDeleteYou just convinced me to buy a military jacket. Love your outfits!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I love all of the ways you wore it, but my favorite would have to be the outfit with the sparkly skirt. I just purchased a sleeveless military jacket, and I will definitly be looking to your outfits for inspiration!

Pretty sure that jacket will never go out of style. :)
ReplyDeleteI DO own a military jacket! I am in love with it. I bought it this fall from Urban Outfitters. I wore it all the time until recently when we moved back down south. :(( It's already over 70 down here...boo. All my transition clothes are going away fast fast!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post. I bought the J Crew Navy Downtown Field Jacket the other day, and really do like it, but don't LOVE it. When I saw this post, I loved the look of the ADD jacket, AND they have it in Navy, so I ordered it and I'll give it a try and keep the one I love better. Thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteI bought the European Culture jacket and just got it in the mail today and am SO happy with it! I would have never picked something like this before so thank you so much for your recommendations and inspiration!!
