Be still my tweed-loving heart. This outfit makes me want to drink hot cider and roll around in a pile of leaves. The minute I tried on this blazer at H&M I knew it had to be mine. It's tweed and yet it is super-soft, it has elbow patches and cute buttons; I'm in love. Will you be wearing the tweed trend this fall? Which jacket below is your favorite?

J, I LOVE this look as a former New Englander. However, I am now a Floridian like you, and wonder how to pull off the cuteness when it's still in the 80's down here?
ReplyDeletelove this outfit! fabulous jacket!

Love the tweed trend! My fav jacket you listed is the 3rd one from ASOS. With a small frame I have a hard time finding blazers that fit me correclty. That one looks like it would be the best fit!

You look awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth! I'm a former New Englander too! (Boston for 4 years.) Tweed is like a furnace so this one look I'm saving for my upcoming cold weather trips, and for when temperatures finally drop in FL!
ReplyDeleteLove this look!! A blazer and boots is so chic!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this look!

So loving this look! It's very equestrian chic. Tweed is a fun texture to work with.
ReplyDeleteAmazing combo, love it! ♥

super cute! love the colour of your pants :)
ReplyDeleteI love the tweed trend! I will definitely be trying it- soon! I already have the fabric to make one. It will be similar to the one I have posted today. I might even add some faux leather sleeves. Can't decide. I love how you paired the colored jeans with it. Great look!

This outfit is adorbs! Love it! You look like you just emerged from a Ralph Lauren catalog!
ReplyDeleteLove this look! Very equestrian but classy!
ReplyDeleteThat is super cute!!! I saw a tweed jacket with fun elbow patches last year at the Limited for like $25. I should have bought it. regretting that decision now. love the outfit. I may wear it this weekend for OU/TX, if it's not too warm.
ReplyDeleteYea! Another way to wear my favorite Banana Republic tweed blazer from about 5 years ago - never thought about wearing it with my colored denim and tall boots! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI found a red retro Norstrom jacket in a small tight corduroy with a similar cut at my goodwill. Not the same as tweed but I am LOVING it for fall.
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! I already have the pieces to recreate this look! Can't wait for it to cool down so that I can rock in it!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit. I've been eyeing the same tweed blazer at H and M for a while now. Love the jeans. Love the entire outfit. My favorite jacket is #4.

Love it! Before I saw the bottom half of your outfit I tried to guess which pants you paired it with. I guessed burgundy! It's a perfect match! And I thrifted a tweed blazer a long time ago for $6 not knowing that I'd love it and wear it so much.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the one from ModCloth, but the one you're wearing from H&M is the best of the bunch! I'm guessing that's no longer available?
ReplyDeleteThe H&M blazer is recent so you should still be able to find it in stores! H&M doesn't have online shopping in the U.S. so I can't link to it.
ReplyDeleteLOVING the tweed!
ReplyDeletewow! what a fantastic jacket! I love those boots too!
ReplyDeleteUgh love tweed so much!! I posted a tweed fall jacket today that I seriously need!

LOVE the tweed!
ReplyDeleteI went to target last night and saw those burgundy jeans! They were on 30% sale but didn't have my size. :( Also, they had these Chanel-like tweed jackets to DIE for. yep, Target is moving up in the style-world. :)

I personally can't pull off tweed; even though I'm young(-ish), my womanly figure makes tweed age me :(

I love that handbag and just found it at TJ Maxx. Debating about purchasing. I have 2 questions though. 1) What color is yours? It looks like a dark red but the red version I saw seemed brighter. 2) What is Ross? I've seen that mentioned in other blogs and was curious if its a local store or something. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! My handbag is a dark brown - I think it is the Brandy color at the link, but not 100% sure, mine looks a little darker than the picture. Ross is just like TJ Maxx, only cheaper (!) and they are nation wide but they have less stores. Here is their locator to see if one is near you! http://www.rossstores.com/locator.aspx
ReplyDeleteLOVE this fall outfit! I want a tweed blazer with elbow patches! Those colors are so great on you! Love the boots!

Do love tweed and how you're styling it too - lusting after those jeans. I posted about dressing tweed down yesterday with a suit jacket I had (it's more black and white tweed) but think I might try it out with skinnys next thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI literally gasped when I saw this: tweed jacket and a gray sweater underneath? I love it so much!
ReplyDeleteI'm still not sure that tweed looks great on me, but I've been thinking about getting the H&M blazer that you're wearing for a few weeks. That ASOS one is cute too!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I absolutely love the burgundy next to the tweed--the colors look so rich. Now I really need to invest in colored skinnies.
ReplyDeletethe tweed is a very fun staple for fall. i'm currently loving the one from ASOS!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could find this jacket at my local H&M! I love it!!

I love herringbone. I am on the lookout for a good one right now. Such a cute outfit.

I have a very similar blazer from H&M that I wore yesterday. I just love it for fall :)
ReplyDeleteI always look for a nice tweed jacket when I'm at consignment or thrift stores, but not luck so far. Do you have a black top? I think some more contrast would do this outfit some good.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the outfit! Ralph Lauren would be proud! :)
ReplyDeleteThat was my first thought when I saw your outfit: I wanted to drink hot cider and walk through crunchy fall leaves! I love the richness of all the colors! And it got me excited because I just bought a tweed jacket at a thrift store! It's still been too warm to wear it, but I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI think this is one of the best outfits you have ever done! So cute, love everything about it!
ReplyDeletei don't mind anything about this outfit, EXCEPT for the boots. The boots kill it - i'm sorry! maybe if they were chocolate brown and/or had a different toe shape & heel shape, i would be more inclined to find it appealing. but otherwise - it looks very nice!!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so perfect!! Love your riding boots, I have a Chinese Laundry pair as well and love them!! Also, love the purse. Would look great with any kind of
ReplyDeletedesigner handbag!! Great outfit choice.
The nearest H&M is 40 minutes from me! :( I am hoping to go in another week to scoop that blazer up! Its adorable!!
ReplyDeletewhaat size pants did you get? How much do they stretch out after a day?
ReplyDeleteI thought they ran a size small, so I got the 5. They do really well all day long - they don't stretch out much at all!
ReplyDeleteTry giving them a call to see if they have it first - the label is the L.O.G.G. line and not all stores have it! Hope this helps. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour H&M tweed blazer is soooo, *chic*, J. ............ I just love how you styled it, too!!
ReplyDeleteAnother look which is also (in my opinion) really f.a.b.u.l.o.u.s., too, is a tweed pencil skirt paired with a simple, jewel-tone, "duchess" satin............ (i.e., a rich, lustrous, heavyweight satin)............ blouse or top.
I don't have a tweed blazer or a tweed pencil skirt myself (yet!!); but I wonder whether or not a simple satin-luster or silky-sheen blouse or top ............ in a fresh, modern, personally-flattering *n.e.o.n.* color!!............ would be "too much" to UPDATE............ a traditional, kind-of-on-the-"stuffy"-side, tweed pencil skirt??!! (Haha!!)
I love tweed, trend or not!

Loving #4 from Modcloth! So cute!
ReplyDeleteAwesome blazers! I'd wear that for a job interview, or just a special date. It's a nice fit almost anything that you can think of other than formal occasions.
ReplyDeleteHi Erica! I know it's a ways out but H&M is going to FINALLY start selling online, but not till 2013. :(
ReplyDeleteI like how you wore the sweater as your first layer, showing very little/tasteful cleavage. I just bought a Gap sweater that looks exactly like it (at a thrift store for under $5!). Thank you for the inspiration on how to wear it!
