Twenty-five items from my closet are now up for sale! Go here to shop them. I'm extra excited about this sale for two reasons:
1. I'm using Threadflip, an awesome new website where you can consign your clothes and shop amazing deals on gently used items.
2. All proceeds from this sale are going towards the fundraising I'm doing for Africa! (I'm headed to Sierra Leone with my church to serve in an orphanage for two weeks. Details here.)
So, let's talk about Threadflip. I've been asked many, many times to name a website where people can consign their clothes other than eBay and I never had an answer until now! Threadflip is an awesome (and prettier) alternative, and the experience reminds me a bit of Pinterest (see examples above). It is much like shopping at a boutique, only the prices are discounted and the clothing is brand-name. And if you decide to consign your clothes, Threadflip includes shipping in the price so once your item sells they send the shipping label and box for you to just drop in the mail. I love how easy they make it!! Check out my profile to shop the items I have up for sale, put your own items up for sale, or just to browse. Thanks for shopping!
This post is brought to you by Threadflip. The sponsorship fee + all proceeds from the sale of my items are benefitting children in Sierra Leone.
I have to say... I'm not an impulsive shopper by any stretch, but I just had to grab something. :) Send my love to Sierra Leone!
ReplyDeleteI understand that shipping is included and the proceeds are going to missions, but still.... the prices are HIGH for used items. I can get new, better brand names for less than what you are selling Forever 21 items for.
ReplyDeleteThanks Emily!
ReplyDeleteAnything $12, I only marked as $5 (which I think/hope is a steal). Unfortunately shipping is $7, which brings it all the way to $12. Big difference in my opinion! It's my first time using this site, we'll see how it goes!
ReplyDeletehey, ive never heard of threadflip, but ill have to check your "store" out! how does one go about selling on there? i have a few designer items i was thinking of selling too...

I had never heard of Threadflip before but now that I've looked at it, I may become obsessed! I hope you get tired of some other pieces and decide to sell more :) I know I'll be scooping up a few items. Good luck with fundraising, I think this is a great way to make some $$$
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with a previous commenter that the prices of an lot of the items on this site (not yours in particular!) seem really high for used clothing/shoes, especially considering the brands. A lot of people seem to be trying to sell their stuff as if it's new. Definitely seems like a great way to sell items though!
ReplyDeletethe scallop is sold :( but happy to whoever bought it!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you posted a website where you can sell clothes besides ebay. Now, I have a new area to sell clothes! Also, if you have the iphone, you can add the app Poshmark. You can sell clothes, jewelry, and any other fashionable items on there. I haven't sold any clothes on there yet but should soon. Thanks for sharing this new website, I will be shopping your closet now! =)
ReplyDeleteAnother great app where you can sell clothes is Poshmark.
ReplyDeleteI am loving threadflip... I created an account when you mentioned them before and its such a great alternative to eBay.
