As you may have seen on the LOFT Facebook page yesterday, I participated in a campaign with raise awareness for breast cancer this month.
Shirt: c/o LOFT
Bracelet: c/o LOFT
Blazer: Express, $25
Skirt: Limited, $35
Belt: Urban Outfitters, $20
Shoes: Restricted via Endless, $40
Purse: River Island, $60 (purchased in London)
1) What “links” you to this cause? I don't think there is a single woman out there who isn't affected by breast cancer - either directly or by someone they know. Most recently, my friend's mother was diagnosed and is currently undergoing treatment. (We love you Margie!*)
2) What “links” you to all other fashion bloggers our there? I feel a common bond of creativity, passion and a love for style with every fashion blogger across the globe. I also find that I immediately hit it off with other bloggers when I meet them in person! We love to talk!
3) What “links” you to your girlfriends? I am blessed to call some of the most amazing, beautiful women as my close friends. I think what links us is our shared zest for life, a love for the same activities (such as running or fashion) and a loyalty that withstands even the toughest obstacles in life.
4) How would you incorporate this feel good item into your everyday wardrobe? A graphic tee with a touch of sequins is perfect with denim shorts for running errands, and you can also dress it up with a pencil skirt and blazer for work like I did here. The bracelet is a piece you can wear everywhere, and I love the touch of pink that serves as a reminder of the cause it supports!
5) Describe your personal style. I will try anything once, but overall I tend to dress very feminine and colorful. I like more of a classic/preppy look for work, and for casual occasions I love boho touches like turquoise jewelry and frayed denim.1. Nordstrom pencil skirt, $44.90
2. LOFT Cares t-shirt, $39.50
3. LOFT Cares bracelet, $34.50
My mother beat breast cancer twice (most recently, a year ago) & my paternal grandmother beat it as well. I love seeing all the support this cause gets bc many women lose the battle against this disease & my family are a few of the lucky ones!

LOFT is doing a great thing spreading the awareness of breast cancer and using other stylish ladies to spread the word with their fashion! This is such a cute look pairing the T-shirt and the pencil skirt to make it work appropriate. We did a remix at the beginning of the month wearing pink to spread the awareness. Our grandma passed away in March from breast cancer, so this cause is near and dear to our hearts. Heather & Kayla
ReplyDeleteI recently found your blog and LOVE it. Your style definitely inspires me. It's definitely the modern woman and wearable. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI think dressing up a graphic tee is so inspiring. It really makes you re-think your closet and how you could wear things.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited that you are supporting this cause! great job!

Thank you so much Brittny and welcome to the blog! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of the T - just don't really like the design. Great cause though! The rest of the outfit is awesome but the white is too much negative space for me. I think an interesting colored solid T would have been perfect. I love the leopard accessories!
ReplyDeleteOne word: AMAZING!!! :) I love the tee: screams "I am a pink super hero", which all breast cancer survivors are!
ReplyDeleteYou made a casual tee perfect for the work place. Just love it! LOVE your blog! :-)
PS. LOVE that purse!!
I love the concept Loft used by giving actual breast cancer survivors the control to design their own t-shirt design and jewelry. Very inspirational to read their stories at loft.com. Great outfit! Might have to copy!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen are you doing your travel tips J? I'm looking forward to it!!
ReplyDeletelove the look and you are a charmer to participating for such a great cause! I have the same skirt and theanimal skinny belt adds that nice subtle touch to the outfit.

I absolutely love this look! I recently bought a Pink Bow Tee from New York & Company in support of the BCRF, and I just may try it with a pencil skirt for work. Great inspiration, J! I also love how you answered the questions from LOFT. I'm happy to hear that Margie beat breast cancer. Great news :)

I've been to the LOFT and love everything they have to offer. I even purchased a few of the LOFT cares items .. what a great way to give!
ReplyDeleteI love how you paired this t-shirt with a pencil skirt. It looks great! I'm trying to wear pink once a week as part of the Breast Cancer aWEARness campaign. Some bloggers are working pink into their looks everyday. I think that's pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove it Lisa! Blogger power. :-)
ReplyDeleteYay, glad I could help! I'm sure I'll wear it again on the blog at some point too!
ReplyDeleteIt's on my to-do list! I've had work trips the past two weeks, on top of moving (still unpacking). It WILL happen though, just give me a couple weeks lol.
ReplyDeleteGreat look! I agree, when appropriate, a graphic tee can add so much fun to a regular office outfit :)
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of you and your blog. I haven't seen your wedding rings lately...
ReplyDeleteA *Great* Stylist, (i.e., I just love that particular color combination of your pink/purple magenta pencil skirt with your camel tan blazer!)............ with A *Compassionate* Heart to support the BCRF............ is the *BEST* combination ever!!
ReplyDeleteToday's the final day of the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign I organized at work. I contacted companies through my blog, twitter, facebook, cold-calling and more - and tons of donation prizes flew in. I got a gourmet pizza to deliver food for 3 branches and 35 staff in total, along with some hors d'ouvers and spra gift certificates. All in all, it's a terrific fun day and I'm glad the staff is enjoying it. We've raised a ton of money and I'm so happy to be supporting this cause. We have a co-worker right now who is battling Breast Cancer, so it was nice to do this in support.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'm totally wearing my bra on the outside of my clothes today, it's pink too ;)
this style you share is very attractive and nice. the style is also very valuable that it is trendy and according to what modern women wants.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! It looks classy, but you're just wearing a t-shirt!
