Today's Everyday Fashion: Chartreuse Crush

I don't know what it is about chartreuse, camel, nude and other earth tones like the ones in today's outfit that I love so much but they totally rock my world. I did a somewhat monochromatic look with them, but then ran with the idea of doing pops of color with accessories. The blue belt was a good start but I thought it needed more zest. An earth tone base with bright pops of color? Sign me up. :-) What do you think - would you wear this color combo?

  1. Love this look! Any type of the same color schemes paired together (monochromatic) with pops of color rock my world too!  The flower is a fun touch to the outfit too :)

  5. I never thought of wearing a chartreuse top with a fuchsia flower pin;  but it's just so *WELCOMINGLY* bright-and-cheery!!    Here in (currently very gray/overcast/drizzly!) Central Pennsylvania, sometimes I think (since my field is nursing) that it would be genuinely patient-friendly, if, say, Clerical Staff Assistants in Medical Offices----who usually have *first contact* with Incoming Patients----would be allowed to increase their use of color in their daily Office Workwear.    If I were a weak and sick patient, that little *pop* of Color Cheer............ (i.e., along with a kind, welcoming smile, like yours!)............ sure would make ME feel better, you know.

'Totally love EVERY single thing about your amazingly-creative blog, J............ keep up the *good* work!!

  6. I love the flower and like the purse as accessories but could do without the blue belt.  Other than that, I like the look but it's not my absolute fav.

  8. LOVE.  the proportions in that DVF inspiration photo are so cool and funky but hardly wearable for any "normal folk" ha!  So i love what you did and how you took color inspiration while using proportions that work for and are flattering on you!
