I keep trying to resist the excitement of fall fashion and hold onto every last drop of summer, but today I'm giving in! I styled one of my soon-to-be-favorite pieces for fall, a leopard trench coat from the folks at Banana Republic, two different ways. They are releasing a Mad Men themed collection this Thursday (August 11th) and I was one of the lucky ladies to receive a preview before they hit stores. Leopard is one of my favorite trends for fall, and luckily this jacket is lightweight enough even for Central Florida. Would you wear a leopard coat? What trends are you most looking forward to this fall?

I love the leopard jacket! Especially with the white jeans.
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely wear this leopard trench! Red and leopard are a perfect combo, so this look is spot on (no pun intended, lol!).
ReplyDeleteI am loving the colored jeans and dark (hunter green/bordeaux) colored hues as well! Looking forward to fall, even though I love summer!

I'm so excited for the BR Mad Men collection. I love the show and I especially love the fashion. It even inspires some of my looks. :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that trench! I'm totally into the animal print trend right now!!
ReplyDeleteLove the Stella and Dot bracelet and the trench.
ReplyDeletei would wear the heck out of this coat! can't wait to check out more mad men inspired pieces at BR!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain! I am a huge fan of Fall and the fashion that comes along with it. My biggest weakness is always shoes. Here are my top picks for Fall shoes.

The trench is WAY awesome. I'm loving how it "tones" down the red and black combo (even though, you think leopard shouldn't). The neutral coloring of the pattern is a sophisticated look.

Love the Michael Kors watch! I got one a couple years ago and I still wear it almost every day!
ReplyDeleteLOOOOOVE the coat!! I'd wear it as a neutral, with everything!!

I bought a fun snake skin jacket a long time ago as part of a Halloween costume, and even though it was way over the top, I loved it. This leopard jacket is much more classy, but still a little crazy, which I love. I think it's a great addition to a fall wardrobe. I'm going to have to check out the BR Mad Men collection. I heart that series and some of those looks.
ReplyDeleteLeopard always looks so perfect with red. I'm eagerly awaiting the new Mad Men collection too! A new coat is on my shopping list, so I might consider being daring with a leopard coat. I'm also looking forward to wearng my fall boots again.
ReplyDeleteJ!!!! Don't do it!!! It's tooooooo soon! Living in PA, we only have 3 months of summer fashion... I can't let go this early. haha But your outfit is super cute. I love your jacket. =)
ReplyDeleteI love leopard! I'm not really sure if it was out of style as now back in or not, I can't keep up. But, I've always been a huge fan. A classic, key piece can be very elegant if done well. The trench looks fantastic on you!

I love those red pants!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing my serpent bangle stacked with my Michael Kors watch too! I've also added the nugget wrap bracelet in gold and the devi bangles in gold, plus a few of my own gold bracelets.
ReplyDeleteQuick question...is there a reason you always wear your bracelets on the same arm as your watch? I have always wore my watch on my left wrist and my bracelets on my right. Is it fashionable correct to do it one way or the other?
ReplyDeleteStephanie, I do it for pure practicality sake. I'm right handed and if I wear bracelets on my right I tend to hit them on things and injure myself. A soft bracelet like a friendship bracelet would solve that problem though. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou nailed both looks!

eesh, that trench is pretty! I LOVE leopard, but I don't think I could justify spending that much $$ on a 'wild' piece - I need a sensible navy trench first!
ReplyDeleteI would love to wear a leopard coat considering I don't have one...other than that, I love those red pants!!! So niceeee!!
ReplyDeleteLooks so cute! I love it with the red skinnies! I am most excited about colored skinnies!
ReplyDeleteThat watch is definitely not $189. It's $250 on the Michael Kors website, and, considering the watch's popularity, anything sold for less is most definitely a fake - especially on Amazon with an unofficial merchant. Just FYI for those who click the link and who may possibly be looking to buy it :)
ReplyDeleteI wish it was $189, maybe then I'd actually have it - my dream!
I love the bracelet combinations & couldn't agree more that it is hard to resist the fall fashions.
ReplyDeleteOveLoves
Agreed! My favorite fall fashion is all the bright colored pants.
ReplyDeleteMy family paid that much for it at Macy's, actually! It's definitely legit. That price is recent too, the same merchant has been selling it for $219 for the past two months and they just reduced the price. That's why I posted the price so in case you had been looking you could snatch it up - RUN don't walk!!!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI bought a leopard trench from Kohl's awhile back, actually, & I adore it!
ReplyDeleteI love your arm candy =) I'm not sure if I would wear a leopard coat, only because I don't think I could pull it off, but you styled it beautifully =D I think my favorite fall trend would be, like many of the other commenters, brightly colored jeans like your red skinnies =)
